STRIDE’s Values

STRIDE upholds the following six values as guiding principles for the services offers:

Centering the Margins:

Our team prioritizes the needs and experiences of people of color, individuals with apparent and non-apparent disabilities, community members with barriers to access, and Intersex communities.

Informed Consent:

Our team ensures clear, documented consent and decision-making capacity, with transparent disclosure and competency considerations.

 Holistic Care:

Our team embraces an approach that values the integration of mind, body, and spirit in supporting overall well-being. We emphasize understanding and addressing the complete person rather than just isolated symptoms or issues. By considering the full spectrum of physical, emotional, social, and psychological needs, we aim to provide comprehensive support that promotes balance, healing, and sustained health.

Community Care:

Our team emphasizes our collective responsibility to support one another's well-being and growth. We believe in building a nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and connected. By prioritizing empathy, mutual support, and shared resources, we create a resilient and inclusive community that uplifts and sustains all its members.

Trauma-Responsive:

Our team prioritizes practices and policies that recognize the impact of trauma on individuals and communities. We aim to create environments that are safe, supportive, and empowering, ensuring that everyone feels heard, respected, and valued in their journey toward well-being.

Liberation Practices:

Our team is rooted in empowering individuals to fully express their identities and live without barriers. We strive to dismantle systemic injustices and support personal autonomy by fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We believe that pleasure and joy are essential to this journey. By prioritizing equity and amplifying marginalized voices, we aim to create a more just and liberated community for all.
