About the STRIDE Program
STRIDE exemplifies UC San Diego’s commitment to advancing gender inclusion and equity across campus. We offer support to Trans, Intersex, and Gender Diverse undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Our team includes two gender-affirming care coordinators who bring clinical expertise and a focus on serving our most marginalized students, ensuring our services effectively support the broader community. STRIDE employs a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, enabling a more tailored approach to gender-affirming care.

Land Acknowledgement
The UC San Diego community holds great respect for the land and the original people of the area where our campus is located. The university is built on the un-ceded territory of the Kumeyaay Nation. Today, the Kumeyaay people continue to maintain their political sovereignty and cultural traditions as vital members of the San Diego community. We acknowledge their tremendous contributions to our region and thank them for their stewardship.
Labor Acknowledgement
We must acknowledge that much of what we know of this country today, including its culture, economic growth, and development throughout history and across time, has been made possible by the labor of enslaved Africans and their ascendants who suffered the horror of the transatlantic trafficking of their people, chattel slavery, and Jim Crow. We are indebted to their labor and their sacrifice, and we must acknowledge the tremors of that violence throughout the generations and the resulting impact that can still be felt and witnessed today.
